Dr. Taher Elgamal

Dr. Elgamal is a world renowned computer security expert and a veteran of the internet security industry. Dr. Elgamal is a recipient of the RSA Conference 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award. He is recognized as the "father of SSL" the Internet security standard Secure Socket Layer.
 
Dr. Elgamal also invented several industry and government standards in data security and digital signatures, including the Digital Signature Standard (DSS). He has held several executive roles at technology and security companies, including CTO of Tumbleweed Communications, CEO/CTO and cofounder of Securify Inc. and Chief Scientist of Netscape Communications. Dr. Elgamal has been awarded several patents in online security, payments and data compression. Dr. Elgamal sits on the board of First Information Security, Vindicia and Identity Mind. He is a special advisor to Onset Ventures, Glenbrook Partners, Arcot Systems, Actiance, Symplified and Zetta. Dr. Elgamal holds a Bachellor of Science degree from Cairo University, and Masters and Doctorate degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Tim Mather

Tim Mather is a long-time Information Security practitioner, who has served in executive roles as Advisory Director Information Protection at KPMG, VP & Chief Security Strategist at RSA Security, VP & CISO at Symantec, Security Manager at Verisign, and Manager Information Security at Apple. Tim is a Board Member of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance.

Tim has co-authored two books on information security: "Cloud Security and Privacy: An Enterprise Perspective on Risks & Compliance" (O'Riely) and "The Executive Guide to Information Security: Threats, Challenges and Solutions" (Addison-Wesley). Tim is a CISSP, CISA and CISM. He holds Master's Degrees in Information Assurance form Brandeis University, National Security Studies from Georgetown University, and International Policy Studies from Monterey Institute of International Studies. He holds a Bachellor's Degree in Political Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.

Suresh Nihalani

As an Entrepreneur and a Business Advisor, Suresh is currently involved with many early stage ventures in the area of Cloud Computing, Next Gen.Storage, Wireless, CleanTech and Medical fields, consulting them in strategic business development.

In his last executive role, Suresh was President and CEO of ClearMesh Network, an innovative wireless equipment vendor where he successfully completed product development and launched the product line into the video surveillance applications with municipalities and business customer market.  Prior to ClearMesh, Suresh co-founded and served as CEO of Nevis Networks, a network infrastructure firm focused on the enterprise security market.  As co-founder and CEO of Accelerated Networks, Suresh created a new market segment - multi-service broadband access and took the Company public in year 2000 with a market cap of $3.3B.  Prior to Accelerated, Suresh was co-founder of ACT Networks, where he led the company’s engineering, operations, product management and business development efforts from inception through IPO. Suresh holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay and MSEE and MBA degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology. Suresh has been involved in a number of technology and Entrepreneurial organizations such as the Los Angeles Regional Technology Association and the Caltech/MIT Forum. He is also Charter member of TIE in Southern California chapter. He is member of  Octane Entrepreneur organization. In1999, Suresh received the Entrepreneur of the Year award from Silicon India.

Christina Ellwood, Moreland Associates

A seasoned senior executive, Christina has over 20 years experience in the technology industry. She is the President and CEO of Moreland Associates, which she founded in 2000. Her clients include technology start-ups, services providers, and enterprises. Prior to Moreland, she founded and served as President and CEO of OfficePlease Inc., an intranet software company and ASP and currently serves as the Chairman for the OfficePlease Foundation. Prior to OfficePlease, she was the VP of Marketing for Sentient Networks a telecom switch manufacturer, until their acquisition by Cisco Systems. Previously, she was director of carrier development and marketing at Premisys, a telecom and enterprise Integrated Access Device (IAD) manufacturer, which was later acquired by Zhone. Prior to Premisys, she held business development and marketing positions with N.E.T., a TI multiplexer manufacturer and Kevex Instruments, a provider of EDX and XRF spectrometers and detectors. She is an active supporter of organizations that support entrepreneurs. She is on the steering committee for the SVASE East Bay Series; a workshop leader and mentor for Astia; is the program chair for the 2009 CleanTechOpen; and co-chairs the VC TaskForce Venture Backed Executives Club. Christina is known for her strong, clear leadership and drive.

Dr. Stuart Staniford

Stuart is an industry renowned and highly respected authority on Network Security. He is a founding member of The ICSI Center for Internet Research (ICIR), an industry research consortium dedicated to research and development in Internet Security. Stuart has done pioneering work in different areas of Network Security and has invented numerous security algorithms that are widely adopted in the Security Industry today. Stuart has more than 18 years of industry experience working with early stage startups and big companies. Previously Stuart was the founder and CEO of Silicon Defense, a company that built industry leading security software and products. More recently Stuart was Principal Scientist at Nevis Networks where he laid out the foundations for companyís next generation security products. Stuart has published numerous research publications on security algorithms in leading journals and conference proceedings all over the globe and holds several security patents in his name. Stuart holds a PhD and Masterís degree in Computer Science from University of California, Davis.

Dr. Anton Chuvakin

Dr. Anton Chuvakin, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA is a recognized security expert and author. Chuvakin is a well known contributor to several seminal security industry publications including Security Warrior, Know Your Enemy II, Information Security Management Handbook, Hacker's Challenge 3, PCI Compliance and has held top security strategist roles as Chief Logging Evangelist and Strategist at LogLogic and as netForensics' Chief Security Strategist. Chuvakin has published numerous papers on security issues and participates in various security industry initiatives and standards organizations. He is a member of SANS advisory board, is a frequent contributor to ComputerWorld, and runs one of the most popular security-related blogs on the Internet, http://chuvakin.blogspot.com.

Dan Kolkowitz

Dan Kolkowitz has been involved in technology development and distributed system development for more than 25 years. Dan co-founded and was VP of Engineering for Swan Labs Inc., a leading vendor in wan optimization which was sold to F5 in 2005. Prior to that, he co-founded MobileAria Inc., Securify Inc, and Compact Devices. Dan has been active in networking and security industry and standards organizations for the past 20 years. Dan has lectured in the CS Department at Stanford University where he completed his Masters in Computer Science.
